Congratulations to our Winners

On May 21, some 650 people attended the Mercuriades Gala, which was honoured by the presence of Quebec Premier Jean Charest, in order to highlight and reward excellence among businesses based in our province. Since then, we have received numerous compliments about the high quality of the evening and the fact that over the years, it has become a must-attend event for Quebec's business community.

I also had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know many of these businesses last spring, when the finalists were announced. It was a great opportunity to see true models of success, businesses whose activities and achievements foster economic growth in Quebec and most certainly help build real wealth in our province.

I would like personally, as well as on behalf of the Federation of Quebec Chambers of Commerce (FCCQ), to congratulate all our finalists and winners of the 2009 Mercuriades. By putting in the necessary effort to prepare a high quality entry file, they have had to think carefully and accurately about how their businesses operate, and this exercise will surely stand them in good stead for a long time to come. Which is why we believe every one of these businesses comes out as a winner. Taking part in the Mercuriades is a major advantage in itself, because participants have to take stock of their strengths and weaknesses. We feel sure they’ll all benefit from this comprehensive account of their achievements
